Retriangulate

What is it about?

This page documents the Retriangulate node of the Scene Nodes system in Cinema 4D. It recalculates the internal triangulation of n-gons after point positions change — preventing shading and deformation artifacts.

Internally, N-gons also consist of triangles and quads. The arrangement of these polygons is defined when the N-gons are created and will not change, even if the position of the edge points change. This function can therefore be used to update the arrangement of the polygons in existing N-gons.
