Capsule Object

What is it about?

This page documents the Capsule primitive in Cinema 4D. It creates a cylinder with hemispherical caps — the base shape for pills, tanks or soft rounded limbs — fully parametric with radius, height and slice options.

This command creates a cylinder along the Y axis with hemispherical caps. Adjust the various properties to create all kinds of pill-shaped objects.

Interactive editing

The capsule has two handles:

  • Drag handle (1) to change the radius.
  • Drag handle (2) to change the height.
