Wind object

What is it about?

This page describes the Wind deformer in Cinema 4D. It ripples geometry with pre-animated waves — amplitude and frequency adjustable via handles — the instant solution for waving flags and water surfaces without simulation.

Use the Wind object to create waves on an object. Here it is particularly important that the object has sufficient subdivisions. The wind blows in a positive X-direction and is an already animated effect (simply press the Play button).

You can use the orange handle in the Z direction to interactively control the height of the waves in the Z direction (amplitude) and the handle in the X direction to control the number of waves in the X and Y directions.
