Disconnect UVs
What is it about?
This page covers the Disconnect UVs function in Cinema 4D. It splits selected UV polygons or edges into separate UV islands — optionally with a gap — so parts of the unwrap can be transformed independently.
This is the function you need to convert selected UV polygons into a separate UV island, which can then be moved, rotated, or scaled independently of other UV elements. If UV edges have been selected, this function can be used to split the UV mesh along those edges. In both cases, a gap may optionally be created between the separated or split elements. You can set the Gap Size by clicking the gear icon.
