Console Out
What is it about?
This page covers the Console Out node of the Scene Nodes system in Cinema 4D. It prints values — including complex types like matrices — to the console, the debugging companion for inspecting live node data.
This Node is similar to the Output Node but can also work with complex data types such as Matrix. The value should not, however, be a static value. You can, for example, use animated values or those from other Nodes that are continuously re-calculated. Additionally, the Node cannot be placed at the end of a chain but has to be used as an active element within a setup so the values can run through the Node.
This example shows an animated Value Node that passes a Matrix to a Console Out Node. There, a short string is augmented before the Matrix is output in the console.
