Matrix to Vectors

What is it about?

This page describes the Matrix to Vectors node of the Scene Nodes system in Cinema 4D. It splits a matrix into its four component vectors — direct access to position and axis directions for custom math.

A matrix consists of four 3D vectors that can, among other things, define the position and scale of an object in space. This Node can be used to output the individual 3D vectors of a matrix.

As a rule, the matrix in Cinema 4D defines position, scale and rotation of a given object and is made up of four vectors.
