Make Preview
With this function you can create a preview of the rendered animation. After it's been rendered, the animation will automatically be opened in the Cinema 4D Picture Viewer.
Due to the good Viewport quality (make sure that Effects is enabled in the render view's Options menu), high-quality preview videos can be quickly created.
Preview Mode
Use these settings to define the quality of the preview render. In addition to these settings, an animation in full render quality (Full Render reflects the current render settings) can be output.
All Frames
The animation will be rendered in its entirety.
Preview Range
Only those frames within the preview range will be rendered.
Manual
Enable this option if you want to manually define an animation range.
From … To
Only those frames defined within the From and To range will be rendered.
Image Size
Enter the width for the preview movie. The height is calculated automatically using the Film Format ratio defined on the render settings Output page. The resolution is shown to the right of the input box.
Cinema 4D lets you use mathematical formulae in input boxes. For example, if you want the preview resolution to be a quarter of 640 x 480, you can enter 640/4 into the Image Size input box.
Format
Here you can select the desired video format. Details regarding these formats and their settings (Options button) can be found in the attachment.
Options
The rendered preview animations are saved in the user directory with the file name Preview.avi or Preview.mov, respectively.
You can terminate the preview render by executing the command again.
Frame Rate
Here you can enter the frame rate (images per second) for the video.
