Effector

Strength[-∞..+∞%]

Use this setting to adjust the overall strength of the effect. Values of less than 0% and greater than 100% can be entered.

Also note the separate Custom Strength Handling option, which makes the Strength value available directly as an input within the node, where it can then be adjusted and modified as desired.

Selection

On the left, a Step effector is shown without selection; on the right, it is shown with a selection applied. A Step effector was chosen here as an example of selection; otherwise, selections work differently depending on the type of effector.

A MoGraph Selection or MoGraph Weightmap tag can be dragged into this field or placed automatically by selecting a Cloner object and an existing MoGraph selection/weighting, and creating an Effector.

The Effector will then work as follows, depending on the tag’s settings:

  • MoGraph Selection tag: Will only affect the clones belonging to the selection.
  • MoGraph Weightmap tag: The clone weighting (values between 0% and 100%) saved in the tag will be multiplied with the effector strength.

Custom Strength Handling

This makes the Strength value directly available as an input within the node, thereby allowing it to be varied and used individually during the node's calculation. Otherwise, the total strength of the effector is determined exclusively by the Strength value or by assigned Selections.

Enable Default Field

Enable this option if you want to access the assigned fields from within the nodes graph, for example, to limit the spatial influence of the Nodes Effector. You'll find a Fields tab right on the Nodes Effector, which you can use to assign field objects just as you would with other effectors.

Array Mode

In this case, the clone data is passed to the node’s content as an array. You must then iterate through this array yourself, make the desired changes to the data, and finally repackage the modified data as an array and output it to the node. Otherwise, the clone data is made available sequentially within the node. This means you automatically work with only one clone at a time, and the clone data is automatically processed in sequence.
