The settings on this page allow you to add random variations in the course of the fabric threads.

This is the maximum displacement of the points on the calculated thread splines. This value must be above 0 cm so that the following parameters can be operated.
The random displacement of the spline points is based on a 3D noise structure made up of gray scales. This pattern can be scaled individually in all three spatial directions using these three values. The basic size of the noise structure is specified using the following value for Noise Scale.
Noise Scale
This controls the overall size of the noise structure, which can then be scaled individually in all three spatial directions using the three percentage values in Relative Scale. With larger values, the noise structure increases accordingly, resulting in smoother and more harmonious transitions when shifting the output point positions.
Edge Fade
For larger values, the random variation of the point positions near the outer object edges is automatically reduced. The thread ends at the edge of the geometry remain unchanged. Otherwise, all sections of the mesh are varied equally for small percentage values.
Smooth Iterations[-2147483648..2147483647]
By increasing this value, the transitions between adjacent point shifts can be smoothed. Alternatively, the value for Noise Scale can also be increased. This also leads to smoother transitions between the point shifts.
The generation of the noise structure and thus also the randomly appearing displacement of the point positions on the spline is based on this value. A change in the Seed value therefore also leads to a new noise variation and a redistribution of the amounts for the point displacements.
