IES

IES files are special light sources.

Please note that Cinema 4D only supports the IES types "Type B" and "Type C" (sometimes also called "Type 1" and "Type 2"). Type A" (or "Type 3") is only evaluated incorrectly. If you open an IES file in a text editor, you will find the type encrypted under an entry "TILT=NONE". In the following example you will find the 6. marked entry with a 1. This is therefore a Type 1 IES light source.
