Properties
The Node facilitates the storage and reading of vertex colors, normals and weighting values (vertex map) on the processed geometry. The three names Normal, Vertex Color and Vertex Map are already set by default and are also used by Cinema 4D for new tags. The corresponding inputs and outputs can be found in the open Points modifier on the input and output side of the Node Editor. Using the buttons for Add and Remove, additional normals, colors or weightings already saved on the geometry can be read out and passed on if required. The number and names of the inputs and outputs on the Node therefore adapt automatically.
If the name field of a property remains empty, the Node attempts to read the first data packet of the respective type.
If you want to save or read out standards, you can use these buttons to configure the desired number of separate data records. A name can be defined for each data set, under which the normal data can be automatically searched for and written to the geometry. In addition, a corresponding number of inputs and outputs are automatically created for normal data records within the Points modifier group.
Here you enter the names for the normal data records to be read and written. If the name field remains empty, the Node attempts to read the first data packet of the respective type.
If you want to save or read vertex colors, you can use these buttons to configure the desired number of separate data sets. A name can be defined for each data set, under which the color data on the geometry can be automatically searched for and finally also written. In addition, a corresponding number of inputs and outputs are automatically created for vertex color data sets within the Points modifier group.
Here you enter the names for the vertex color data sets to be read and written. If the name field remains empty, the Node attempts to read the first data packet of the respective type.
If you want to save or read out vertex weightings, you can use these buttons to configure the desired number of separate data sets (vertex maps). A name can be defined for each vertex map, under which the weighting data on the geometry can be automatically searched for and then written. In addition, a corresponding number of inputs and outputs are automatically created for vertex maps within the Points modifier group.
