Multiray Generator

The Multiray Generator can simultaneously send multiple calculation beams in any direction. A range of information can be collected at the locations at which the rays impact. For example, the average distance between these collisions and the starting point can be calculated. In this example, the rays are aligned with the colored cube. Surfaces that cannot see the cube directly will remain darker than the areas that have a clear view of the cube. This creates a simple directional Ambient Occlusion.
Note:

This Node is only available when editing a classic Cinema 4D Bode Material.

This Node can emit numrous calculation beams and output their results. In this way, distances to neighboring surfaces can be measured, for example, as required for the calculation of Subsurface Scattering or Ambient Occlusion.
