Textures

These settings apply to the texture that is to be loaded into the background of the UV Editor. You can load or create such textures via the File menu in the UV Editor.

Texture

Here, you can choose from various standard textures as well as textures that have already been loaded into the UV Editor:

  • Empty Canvas: If no object with a UVW tag is selected, a dark red background appears in the standard UV tile. Otherwise, a dark gray background is displayed.
  • Colored Grid: A background regularly divided into colored areas and combinations of letters and numbers. A similar texture can also be loaded via the Asset Browser by searching for “UV Test Grid.png”.
  • Checkerboard: A simple checkered pattern that spans all UV tiles.
  • Textures...: If textures have already been created or loaded manually for the UV Editor, their names will appear here for direct selection. This allows you to switch at any time between, for example, loaded textures and the more generic patterns.

Opacity[0..100%]

This allows you to adjust the opacity or transparency of the selected background texture in the UV Editor.
