SVG Import
The SVG format (Scalable Vector Format) is, as the name suggests, a scalable vector graphic originally intended for use on the web. This format (which, by the way, can also be opened with any text editor) can be displayed by almost all browsers, for example. It is essentially used for graphics which, in contrast to bitmap-based formats, can be scaled without loss. Cinema 4D uses internally e.g., SVG graphics as Node icons in the Asset browser.
When imported into Cinema 4D, these are saved either as splines or using a Vector Import object.
