Mode

The representation of names, numbers and bars is done as splines, which can be extruded automatically. Here you select this display type:

  • Mesh: In this mode, the splines are extruded and therefore appear as filled shapes with top surfaces.

  • Spline: In this mode, the spline outlines of the bars, texts and names remain unchanged as splines.

Intermediate Points

Here you set the number and distribution of intermediate points along the spline. Note that this setting only affects the splines for the numerical values and the texts:

  • None: No intermediate points are used. This always results in a linear interpolation of the spline, where the existing points are connected in a straight line. Any weightings or tangents no longer have any influence.

  • Natural: With this interpolation, the intermediate points are concentrated on the area around the spline points. In the case of a B-spline, the intermediate points are then inserted near the spline points. The "Numbers" value regulates the number of intermediate points between the spline points. This automatically reduces the distance between intermediate points in curved areas with many spline points.

  • Uniform: this interpolation results in the intermediate points being inserted at equal intervals on the spline curve. The number of intermediate points is determined by the "Number" value. An intermediate point is always located at the position of the first spline point. For open splines, the last spline point is also assigned an intermediate point. The remaining intermediate points, on the other hand, will not be in the positions of the spline points.

  • Adaptive: In this mode, intermediate points are used whenever the curvature of the spline curve exceeds the specified "angle". The intermediate points of the resulting curve pass through the spline points. If there are several segments on the spline, the "Angle" is applied to all segments.

  • Subdivided: This mode works similarly to "Adaptive". Additional intermediate points are added until the distance between the intermediate points is everywhere below the specified "Maximum length". This means that the distances between the points are not identical to the "Maximum length" value everywhere.

Number[0..2147483647]

In the "Natural" and "Even" modes, you use this to set the number of intermediate points.

Angle[0..90°]

In the "Adaptive" and "Subdivided" modes, you use this to define the maximum curvature that may lie between adjacent intermediate points. Smaller values therefore result in a denser placement of intermediate points in curved areas of the spline.

Maximum Length[0..+∞m]

If you use the "Subpart" mode, additional intermediate points are created until the maximum distance of adjacent intermediate points becomes smaller than this length.
