Random

The Hash Node generates controllable and repeatable sequences of random values. If you want it to be even more radical, the Random Nodes can be brought into play. This generates a new random value for each calculated surface position (in this example, a random color is taken from the defined gradient for each pixel).
Note:

This Node is only available when editing a classic Cinema 4D Node Material.

This Node is very similar to the Hash Node in that random colors, alpha values, numeric values, and vectors are calculated here as well. The calculation of a new random value is also based here on both the Seed value and the Salt value. The random values are recalculated as well for each changed animation time and for each calculated surface point. Used as a surface color, a continuous hue will not be formed as with the Hash Node, but each surface point will be given its own random color, which also changes again when switching to another animation image.
