Presets
If you import or export scenes for/from third-party programs, it is often the case that certain settings work best depending on these programs. So what could be better than being able to save and load import/export settings as a preset?
Simply select the appropriate preset from this selection menu.
"Preset" resets all settings to the initial state. "Custom" is displayed if other settings are made after selecting one of the program presets.
General details regarding the Preset System in Cinema 4D can be found there.
If you want to save a combination of settings, first click on Save. An asset save dialog opens in which you define the name and the database to be saved, among other things. After you have confirmed this with OK, it is listed here in the Presets selection menu. The currently selected preset (pre-installed presets cannot be deleted) can be deleted from the list using Delete.
