Point Cap[0..2147483647]

Depending on the number of branches created and the points used in them, the total number of points can increase rapidly. An upper limit can therefore be defined here. If this number of points is reached during the calculation of the branches, the calculation of further branches will be aborted automatically.

Relative Direction[XYZ %]

These values act as multipliers for the directional changes on the branches and are to be understood relative to the world axis directions. Only with 100% for all three directions will you get the original shape of the branches. Deviating values will lead to distortions along the corresponding axis directions.

Keep Original

This preserves the output spline and outputs it together with the branches. This is helpful, for example, if you want to use a Pulse Spline Modifier for animated tracing.

Reweight

Together with the branches, vertex map weightings are also created, which are saved under the name Growth. If the Reweight option is switched off, the weighting values will follow the output spline linearly and thus represent the order of the branches as percentage values between 0% and 100%. If thIis option is activated, the weightings will be calculated for each individual branch and represent their growth. This information can be evaluated by a Pulse Spline Modifier, for example, in order to influence the order in which the splines are traced.

Spawn From

This option is relevant if the Branch Spline Modifier is used several times in succession. In this case, you can choose whether branches should be created on the entire spline geometry supplied or only on the spline sections created by the previous Branch Spline Modifier:

  • Last Generation: The new branches will only be created on the branches calculated by the previous Branch Spline Modifier.
  • All: The new branches will be created on all spline sections that are made available to the Node at the input or are above this asset in the hierarchy in the Object Manager. Please also note the Keep Original option in this context. If this is switched off, not all spline components may be taken into account.

Seed[0..2147483647]

The Modifier contains various options that can be used to introduce randomness into the growth points of the branches and their curvatures. This value forms the basis for these random calculations. A change in this Seed value will also lead to a new variation in the random values.
