Inputs
Location Array
Location
-
Local Position
Here you will find the positions for which you should calculate field data. These positions are displayed locally in the coordinate system of the geometry or the Cloner.
-
UVW
These are the UVW data for the items for which you can calculate field values.
-
Local Direction
These are the local direction vectors at the positions where you calculate the field values.
-
Index
-
Count
If a clone-generating generator is affected by this Nodes Field, the current clone index and the total number of clones are displayed here. By calculating Index/(Count-1), you can obtain the typical Rate value, which lies between 0 and 1 for all clones.
-
Field In
If you want to use this Nodes Field to directly access the previous fields listed below it, you can find their values here:
-
Value
The intensity or strength of the fields.
-
Color
The color information set by the fields.
-
Local Direction
The local direction vector set by the fields.
-
Deactivated
A Boolean value that, for example, indicates the activity of the fields at a specific position.
Location Array
Here you'll find an Array Collection of all Local Positions, UVW coordinates, and Local Direction vectors. You can, for example, unpack these arrays yourself using a Iterate Collection node and iterate over them.
Field Array In
You can use a Decompose Container node or an Iterate Collection node here to unpack the data of any fields that are used below this Nodes Field with the Fields List. If you prefer to work with the field values directly, you can find them under Field In.
Field Data to Capsule Matrix
Conversion from the coordinate system of the Location source object— for example, a Cloner — to the coordinate system of the Nodes Field.
This is helpful, for example, when converting clone matrices so that a read-out field is assigned the correct positions and can calculate the corresponding intensities and colors.
Local Capsule Matrix
This is the local matrix of the Nodes Field—that is, its position, rotation, and scale relative to its parent object. If the Nodes Field is at the top level of the hierarchy in the Object Manager, the Local Capsule Matrix is the same as the Global Capsule Matrix.
Global Capsule Matrix
This is the global matrix of the Nodes Field. Regardless of the node effector's position in the hierarchy, this represents its position, rotation, and scale relative to the fixed world coordinate system.
