Squash and Stretch
Squash and Stretch is a technique frequently used in classic 2D animation. For example, a bouncing ball is compressed when it hits the ground, but stretched when it bounces back again. This makes certain movements very dynamic, which would appear quite bland without this technique.
You can easily apply this effect to objects in Cinema 4D using the Squash and Stretch deformer. Squash and Stretch work just like any normal deformer in Cinema 4D.
