Inputs

Geometry

Here you will find two inputs for geometries and their matrices. However, the number of inputs can be adjusted individually to the number of splines to be connected using the Add Input and Delete Input buttons.

Objekt

Mesh Subdivision U[2..2147483647]

This value specifies the number of polygons along the spline curves. The larger this value is, the better finer details can be displayed along the splines.

Mesh Subdivision V[2..2147483647]

This value defines the total number of polygons used when joining the spline curves. If the option for Subdivision per Segment is enabled, the number of subdivisions defined here will be inserted between adjacent splines. If a total of more than two spline curves are connected to the Loft Node, the total number of mesh subdivisions in the V-direction increases with each additional spline.

Organic Form

If this option is disabled, the lines of the loft connection will be drawn exactly through the spline points, the distances between the lines will be adjusted to the spline points. This produces in an exact shape. If this option is enabled, the loft lines will not be drawn exactly through the spline points, but will run through the spline at the same parametric distance from each other - this results in a softer, but also less accurate shape.

Loop

If the Loop option is enabled, the first spline will be connected to the last spline in the V direction.

Adapt UV

Adapt UV behaves like Subdivisions per Segment - but refers to the texture when it is projected onto a shape via UVW mapping (see Projection). This option is independent of Subdivisions per Segment. The texture will be projected in the V-direction either per segment (option enabled) or drawn evenly over the entire shape (option disabled).

Subdivision per Segment

Here you can define whether the mesh subdivision should be distributed evenly over the entire geometry length or evenly per segment. (A segment is the section between two splines.) With this option enabled, you have more control over the appearance of the shape when splines lie close together.

If you have disabled the option, then the number of resulting subdivisions per segment will be calculated based on the average distance of these segments. For animation, this can be unwanted, but for modeling it produces more regular geometries.

Linear Interpolation

Here you define whether linear or soft interpolation should take place between the individual splines.

Flip Normals

Here you can flip the Normals of the loft shape, if necessary. You can control the Normal direction via the direction of rotation of the spline or just with the option Flip Normals. This option does not affect the cover surfaces because here the Normals are always automatically aligned correctly.
