Mode

Use this setting to define whether guides or guide points should be added to (Add) or subtracted from (Subtract) the existing guides or guide point selection, or if guides or guide points should be selected exclusively (New, all existing selections will be lost).

Select

Use this setting to select the following guides or their complete guide points:

• Unrooted: All unrooted guides (those with the green circle around the root)
• Intersecting: All guides or guide points of guide segments that penetrate the surface on which the hair grows.
• Zero: All guides or guide points that have a length of 0 or have overlapping points (this can happen if, for example, guide points are selected and scaled to 0 using the Scale tool).

Invert

Inverts the selection. If, for example, you only want to select guide points that have been rooted too firmly. Simply select Unrooted in the Select setting and activate Invert.
